Jack's Gallery of Treehouse Projects
Before you contact me for a consultation, keep in mind, my services are more expensive than you might find in the contractor section of some free ad publication. Be prepared to build a quality structure and expect to pay a good price for it. This is not the ranting of some handyman looking to make a dollar making junk and moving on to the next one. Treehouse building is a hobby/passion that keeps getting in the way of my full time work. This means my projects have to be chosen carefully and there is a limit to how many can be built during the year. As a talented custom tree house builder, you want me to focus on your backyard treehouse.
The treehouses you see in this gallery are located in Austin, Round Top, La Grange, Columbus and Houston, Texas.
Old Time Wooden Ship in A Tree.. A Treehouse Ship
As a tree house builder my clients challenge me on a variety of levels including building a ship shaped tree house in Austin, Texas. When my treehouse client did a search for a "tree house builder near me" they did not know if anyone would or could build a ship-like treehouse. We came along and created a beautiful representation of an an old time wooden ship. This custom backyard tree house will provide years of enjoyment for kids and adults. Let me know what you think.

Treetop Tree House with Sunset Views
This cozy little tree house is on the same property as the Dripping Springs Funtime Treehouse. When my clients originally reached out, they were looking for a treehouse/ playset for the family and grandkids to enjoy. During the onsite consultation the Mom/Grandma expressed that she had a personal request for a view over the treetops to watch the beautiful Texas sunsets since their property was in a low area and she could not watch the complete sunset from the house. The family treehouse location did not afford the views requested.
Her son was married under this "Wedding Tree" a few years back and it obviously had great sentimental attachments for the entire family. The end result was a compact western red cedar treehouse made for two with sunset views. Access is via a series of blocks and ropes with a trapdoor entry and the observation deck is enclosed with wire railings and cables for clear views of Texas skies. |
Dripping Springs Funtime Family Treehouse
Another location on the Wedding Tree Property and this one is for the entire family. The focus of the this multi-tree tree house build was for the kids, however we wanted easy access to to the main deck so we made a series of platform decks that wound under and around the tree to get to the 12' main deck. This main deck is large enough for a campout or a cool place to observe the local wildlife. Access from the main deck to the alternate 7' deck is via a stationary bridge with two swings underneath and once you get to the smaller deck we we find a 14' scoop slide and 7' inclined rock climbing wall.
